The True Freedom
What is freedom? I asked a soldier smeared with blood. "When there is no war", he said, "When I get to be with my family. That's the time I will be truly free". What is freedom? I asked a student hidden behind books. "When there is no rat race And when I get to decide my dreams myself. That's when i will be truly free". What is freedom? I asked a lady going home with her brother. "When I can walk alone at nights", said she. "And when I shall be treated like a 'human'. That is when I am truly free". What is freedom ? I asked a man travelling, "When people stop judging me and when honesty will be the best policy. That's what freedom is to me". What is freedom? I asked a farmer, standing beside his barren land.
